PDFPro Admin Tools - Overview
The PDFpro Admin tools provide
quick and easy management of all aspects of the
PDFpro Print
Center in one simple website for every
company installed in the system. A user can
manage all of their individual companies, users,
categories, departments, contacts, promotions,
quotes, orders, fonts, colors, templates, rules,
imposition and more in every detail.
The PDFpro Admin Tools make it very
simple to administrate the templates being added
to the system. The graphic designer supplies the
templates and components using any standard program
like QuarkXpress, PageMaker, Indesign, Photoshop
and Illustrator. The variable text is then tagged
or “marked up” using a simple Acrobat
plug-n and imported into the system automatically
reading the tagged values. When importing or just
maintaining, an administrator can change the original
templates attributes by adjusting the copy, fonts,
sizes, leading, positioning, rotation, alignment,
and color. All copy and default overlays merge
together at this time and when you are satisfied
with your work you click “Save work”
and your template is saved in the system complete
with the image previews. Apply a rule or multiple
rules to your template to control elements like
font scaling, max characters, max lines, alignment,
widths, positioning and color schemes to ensure
corporate and global standards are maintained
without the need for programming expertise.
