B2B Corporate Deployment

A Business-to-Business (B2B) Storefront is usually provided by print service providers for their corporate customers. Corporations can use these solutions to manage their supply chain and print procurement process. A B2B Storefront typically requires a user name and password to gain access to a unique catalog of products. In addition, a B2B deployment can be set up as a multi-tenant Storefront and serve many businesses with different catalogs and user groups.

Master Pages and Skinning

PrintNow supports .NET Master Pages and themes and skins which enables you to define the look and feel of all common pages in your site in a single location. A theme typically includes skin files, CSS files, and images. You define themes in the special "App_Themes" folder in the root of your web site. Combine MasterPages and skinning with the PrintNow CMS tools available in PrintNow Admin tools for easy administration.

My Account Tools

Each Storefront portal comes configured for users to access account details, order history, saved projects, images, and approvals as well as a built in message center. The "My Account" section provides each account holder a friendly and straight forward interface in accessing personal account information.

Category and Tag Support

Categories, unlike tags, can have a hierarchy. For example, you could have a poster category, and under that have children's categories for small format posters and large format posters. A user may use the product side bar to navigate to the main product pages.

Tags, however, provide a way to assign "Key Words" to a given product for an alternate way to browse products such as "search by Industry", "search by Event" or "search by Color". Users can use the search box to browse products based on those key words. Categories and Tags work together to quickly guide the user to products they are looking to purchase.

Multiple Product Types

PrintNow supports 4 product types that can be set up in any Storefront. The first type is a static product or NON personalized product that is standard in all shopping cart software. The second product type is an online template that is displayed in the Online Editor and allows customization. It is defined by the administrator based on a predefined layout and configurable options. The third product type allows the end user to upload a completed design file and receive an online proof. The fourth and final product type allows the end user to request design services and receive an online proof for approval all in the same system. You can use all or select number of these product types that fit your needs.

Order Upload

This job submission tool directs an end user through the process of uploading a design file. The user defines project name and selects Print-Ready Design to upload. A proof for approval is generated based on predefined size and bleed options set by Admin and the userselects Order Options prior to checking out of the system. All file formats which are uploaded are merged into an optimized PDF for consistency.

Shopping Cart Checkout

The checkout process in PrintNow was built for ordering all types of print products. The system automatically generates online previews of products which users have uploaded or customized online. Users can choose from predefined order options which are attached to products and allow instant pricing and up sell opportunities. When products are added to the shopping cart, users can estimate shipping costs and enter promotion codes before proceeding to check out. Shipping and billing is an easy two step process and confirmation of order details allows easy adjustments before final purchase.

Lead Capture and Promotions

The promotional codes in PrintNow are a great way to increase your sales. Just announce the promo code on your site, initiate an email campaign or display on your newsletter and watch your sales increase. Support for monetary value, percent off or free shipping is made available with assigned expiration date, usage limit and minimum subtotal features.

Related Products

Easily associate any unique item in your Storefront with other related items for cross sell opportunities. If users are considering buying a photo card on the Storefront, for example, the user may be shown a list of photo cards similar to the one they have chosen or a list of other products in a completely different category.

Quote Calculator

Dynamic pricing and options are made available to your customers through this easy to use product calculator. Users choose Design Online, Upload Print-Ready Design, or Assisted Custom Design. Your clients will receive their price instantly when choosing available options using this feature. They can also obtain shipping quotes without having to complete the order form.

Search Engine Optimization

PrintNow has you covered with the creation of meta tags, keywords, our NEW URL rewrite functionality, and static product & category pages for search engine crawling. It is designed to allow search engines to fully crawl and index EVERY product & category page in your store. This can have a dramatic increase in site traffic from a search engine. We give you that advantage right out of the box!

Shipping and Payment

Where are you shipping and how? PrintNow understands your needs. With shipping rates calculated by weight, zip code and by fixed cost, determining shipping cost is convenient and straightforward. Real time rates from UPS or FedEx allow easy and accurate pricing of the product . Payment and processing is now uncomplicated with the integration of 5 merchant account providers. There are preconfigured options such as: Purchase Order, Invoice, Checking, and Credit Cards which help your customer checkout faster and conveniently.

International Support

Store developer/admin has full control over all store site strings used (e.g. prompts for SKU, Product, Color, Size, shopping cart, etc). Every string used in the Storefront can be edited.

Adobe Flex Interface

The Online Editor requires minimal computer knowledge and empowers users with an elegant yet powerful application for easy online personalization. The tools allow an end user to open and save projects to his/her account, perform multiple undo and redo edits, cut, copy, paste and delete , spell check, configure tooltips, toggle bleed area, use rulers and guides, arrange layered items, group, as well as use of alignment controls. A zoom navigator tool allows for simple non-scroll viewing. You can easily navigate pages and optional items like layouts, backgrounds, clip art, text input boxes, properties, and effects.

Text Editing

Text controls for editing font options such as size, scale, style, alignment, leading, kerning, wrapping, color, positioning and rotation are fully configurable. Text placeholder options are "wrap", "non wrap" and "scale to fit".

Image Editing

Provides configurable image controls for editing images, including features such as scaling, rotation, positioning, cropping, and borders around images. Users can apply image effects like opacity control, drop shadows, brightness/contrast, hue/saturation and blur/sharpening. Photo placeholder options are "fit to box", "fit to mask" and "scale to fit".

Digital Access Management

The photo library helps organize digital photos for products being ordered online. Administrators can either lock down albums they manage or allow users to create their own personal albums and uploaded photos. Online photo editing tools can allow users to apply rotation, photo effects, brightness/contrast, hue/saturation and blur/sharpening. File support for .PDF, .EPS, .PS, .AI, SVG, .PSD, .TIF, JPG, and .PNG on upload.

SimpleRules

Easily control what tools a user has access to with the click of a button. Control access to toggles like positioning, opacity, rotation, text and photo place holder types, alignment, leading, color changes, style options, size options and more. For text items, you can control single line or multi-line, max lines and max characters. Layers can be set to be included or not included in final print ready documents. Tabs and buttons are configurable as well as the text that is contained within them.

Instant Proofing

Proof mode in the online editor is an extremely fast and secure option for instant low-res watermarked proofs. Users can pan and zoom and proof page by page. Additional PDF proof support is optional.

Transparency Support

The term transparency is used in various ways by different people, but at its simplest there is "full transparency" i.e. something that is completely invisible. Of course, only part of a graphic should be fully transparent, or there would be nothing to see. More complex is "partial transparency" or "translucency" where the effect is achieved whereby the graphic is partially transparent in the same way as colored glass. Transparency in PrintNow is possible in a number of graphics file formats including .PDF, .EPS, .PS, .AI, SVG, and .PNG.

Small Format Products

Small Format support in PrintNow is any product up to 18" x 18" in size. Examples include brochures, business cards, calendars, catalogs, envelopes, flyers, greeting cards, labels/stickers, letterheads, menus, newsletters, postcards, sales sheets and more.

Large Format Products

Large Format support in PrintNow has no restriction in size. Examples of large format products are vinyl banners, window graphics, trade show graphics, signage of all shapes and sizes, car wraps, art prints, posters, canvas photos, and more. Custom sizes, vector graphic support and pricing by the square foot are just a few features that PrintNow has built specifically for large format products.

Color SVG Artwork

Scalable vector graphics can be saved directly out of Illustrator CS to be used on PrintNow. This XML format can be modified so users can colorize fills and strokes online. All vector graphics are supported in and out of PrintNow.

Multiple Page Products

One and two sided products are most common in web-to-print workflows and come standard in PrintNow's basic model. Support for more than two pages is required for products like photo-books and calendars.

Backgrounds, Layouts, Themes, Clipart

Some products contain multiple backgrounds and layout options and PrintNow makes it simple to swap them out on the fly. Themes allow one action to change multiple backgrounds across all pages. As an alternative to using the photo library to gather photo assets, the clipart tab displays graphics specific to that product.

Advanced Rules

AdminTool administrators can set up advanced rules & validation for controlling the end user's options when inputting text and graphics into input forms in order to maintain business rules on the product.

• Admin can define a condition to be tested for text element content – i.e. total count of all rows (including blank rows), total count of characters in text element (including spaces or width of text element measured in points or inches).
• Admin can combine any number of conditions to be tested into a chain of conditions to be tested. Nested conditions will be present.
• Application can evaluate rule conditions.
• Application can apply rules to layout for image elements and text elements (execute rule actions).
• Application can handle alternate rules when the upper bounds of a rule are surpassed.
• Application can apply rules to the content of image elements.
• Application can apply rules to the content of text elements.
• Application can apply rule "scale to fit."
• Application can prevent circular rule actions so that there are no infinite loops which may break the application.

3D Products

Products like pocket folders, binders, packaging, and 3D promotional items make it impossible for the user to visualize how the finished printed product will come together as a flat proof. PrintNow's 3D support provides a way for the user to personalize any product flat but proof in true 3D. Users can spin the product in any direction and zoom in to take a closer look. Set up animations to open and close the product and watch your products come alive!

Creates Press Ready Files for Proof and Print

Creates optimized PDF documents on the fly directly from PrintNow to power a wide range of workflows. These include flexible print-on-demand PDF manufacturing and web-interactive content creation provided by the Online Editor component.

Dynamic Image Generation

The Merge Engine was built to support a wide range of file types which are combined in the print ready PDF. Rasterized and vector image formats are supported through the following image formats: .PDF, .EPS, .PS, .AI, SVG, .PSD, .TIF, JPG, and .PNG on upload.

Compressed File Delivery

The optimized PDF is compressed without loss of image quality. Our tests have shown a 75% reduction in file sizes as a result of optimization improvements in the PrintNow system. In addition to small PDF sizes, we also combine each order item in a ZIP achieve by order and Item number for easy reference.

Product

Products that are offered on the front end web site are created and modified in this section. Get access to the online designer in admin mode to configure customizable products, define categories, tags, colors and fonts as well as perform price mapping, related products, uploaded thumbnails, SEO and more.

Storefront

The Storefront set-up process demonstrated in the PrintNow application is quick and easy to administrate and is designed to be straightforward for system administrators. With PrintNow you can deploy multiple Storefronts and they are independently accessed and configured in this section. Define Storefront payment options, shipping, user groups, and merchant accounts. The CMS (content management system) in PrintNow allows you full WYSIWYG control across all new or existing PrintNow pages in the system.

Users

The Users section is for managing all current or new user profiles in the system. Change user roles, send messages to users and manage user's images.

Orders

Provides quick access to all orders placed within corporate and retail Storefronts. Filter orders by Start and End Date, Sales Rep, Order Number, Storefront, Customer Details, Order Date, Total, Status and Alerts. Maintains order history details for internal notes or customer and vendor notifications and allows custom tracking information by departmental status. Admin can modify documents and approvals prior to re-merging and downloading print ready documents.

Pricing

Base price combines quantity, colors, turnaround time, fixed sizes as well as custom sizing pricing for all products offered in the Storefront. Base price is mapped to order options for configuring any additional options like paper, coating, perforation, binding, proofing, etc. Order Options can be set as a per item, flat or percentage charge. Promotional Codes can be set for a discount amount by Monetary Value or Percentage. Usage Limit, Minimum Sub Total and Expiration come standard.

System Settings

Customize order status by order or production type and configure custom email templates, tracking options and vendors.

Support

Online documentation and email ticket system is available for support.

Additional Storefront

All PrintNow models come with (1) Storefront. An additional Storefront installation can be installed and mapped to your existing administration tools to manage multi-stores in one unique location.

Super-Sites (multi-tenant)

A multi-tenant storefront serves many businesses with different catalogs and user groups. Some limitations may apply.

This is a standard API we can provide to push and pull order, shipment and inventory data to and from your back office environment.

Data List Management

The Data List Management tool will allow users to upload or purchase a targeted list online. A data map tool developed by PrintNow will ensure data is collected efficiently.
